Angie and the Car Wrecks are comprised of two brothers, Shawn and Dale Ball, on the upright bass and guitar, respectively, with their good friend Calvin Jernberg on the drums and Dale's wife Angie Ball leading the pack and taking on vocals. They are based in a small town in the Pacific Northwest, where they hone their craft on many rainy days stuck inside.

The Car Wrecks have a 6-song EP that was released in March of 2010 and has been well-received. The new EP has helped them land some prominent gigs, such as Lounge Acts 2010 in Aberdeen, WA opening for Grammy award-winning band Soul Asylum, the 2010 Pacific Northwest Brewcup in Astoria, WA, the 2010 Kustom Kulture Festival in Silverdale, WA opening for James Hunnicutt, the Juke Joint Gamblers, Hard Money Saints, Big John Bates and the Voodoo Dollz, and Three Bad Jacks and the 2010 Jake the Alligator Man Bday Bash in Long Beach, WA opening for DragStrip Riot.

The Car Wrecks' main influences are the pioneers of classic rockabilly music, most of them featured on the Sun label in the 1950's: Carl Perkins, Billy Lee Riley, Elvis, and of course Johnny Cash. Other influences include the Stray Cats, Hank Williams Sr., Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, and more recently, the Chop Tops and the Reverend Horton Heat.
